Overview
43 is a pre-seed venture fund in San Francisco backing founders before there's a product.
Up to $500k, a decision in 10 business days, and a desk at 43 Dore Street.
No prototype, revenue, or slides required, they evaluate founders, not pitches.
They came to us to design and build their website, the founder application flow, multiple pitch decks, internal assets, and custom visual explorations.
Challenge
Most VC websites are cold, corporate, and forgettable.
43 had a genuinely different and human approach to early stage investing and needed a web presence and application experience that reflected that, warm, clear, and easy to navigate for first-time founders who might be applying for their first ever check.
Outcome
We designed and developed the full website in Framer, keeping the visual direction ultra clean and minimal with small, intentional visual assets that let the content breathe.
The hero section featured a series of custom visual explorations generated in Midjourney and then animated using a mix of After Effects and Photoshop, bringing real photographic assets to life through motion in a way that made the first impression of the site completely unique.
The main deliverable was the founder application flow, designed and built entirely in Framer, a smooth, thoughtful multi-step experience that makes applying feel simple and human rather than like filling out a form.
We also designed multiple pitch decks and internal assets for the fund's day to day operations.
The result is a website, application flow, and visual identity that feel as considered and founder-friendly as the fund itself.
